What is CASHNet?
CASHNet is a platform offered by
HigherOne that allows students to make secure online payments by electronic check and with credit/debit cards.
Can I Use my debit card in CASHNet?
Yes, in the same manner you use a credit card.
Can I use a credit card over the phone or send my info via US Mail?
No. Charter Oak only accepts credit/debit cards submitted through the online student portal.
What is ECheck?
An electronic check (ECheck) is similar to writing a check. You will need your bank account number and routing transit number (located at the bottom of your check). This information can be saved for future use if you choose. E-check transactions are not a guarantee of payment until funds are withdrawn from your bank account.
I don't like making online payments online. Can I still mail in my payments?
The College also accepts paper checks and money orders.

How do I know my information in CASHNet is secure?
CASHNet complies with all applicable federal, state, and banking regulations and is secured through VeriSign. It is compliant with both FERPA and Gramm-Leach-Bliley requirements.
